Lovejoy District Highlights September Events, Announces October Community Activities

Lovejoy District Council Member Bryan J. Bollman has shared the district’s latest community newsletter, highlighting successful events held throughout September and upcoming activities planned for October.

According to the newsletter, September was a busy and eventful month across the Lovejoy District, with residents coming together for several community programs. The district’s 29th Annual Lovejoy Picnic drew a strong turnout, giving neighbors an opportunity to enjoy food, conversation and time together while welcoming new residents to the community.

Council Member Bollman also participated in the Senior Ball and the Golden Games, celebrating local seniors and emphasizing the importance of creating opportunities for residents of all ages to stay connected and engaged.

Looking ahead to October, several neighborhood cleanup activities are planned throughout the district. Residents are encouraged to participate in efforts to keep local streets and neighborhoods clean, welcoming and well-maintained.

October will also bring seasonal family activities, including Beggars Night and the ELCON Halloween Parade & Trunk or Treat. These events will provide families with opportunities to celebrate Halloween together in a safe and enjoyable environment.

In his message, Bollman thanked residents, volunteers, community organizations and colleagues for their continued participation and support. He also expressed his commitment to working with the community to strengthen neighborhoods and build stronger connections among residents.

The Lovejoy District includes Kaisertown, Lovejoy, Schiller Park, Seneca-Babcock and The Valley neighborhoods.
